The Detailed Design Study of the North - South Commuter Railway Project (Malalos – Clark) & (Solis – Calamba), the Republic of the Philippines

Because of traffic congestion becoming harsher every day in Philippines, the Philippine Government with the assisting of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) intend to upgrade public transportation systems in the country and enhance the north-south connectivity for railway sector which contributing to expanding the economic growth, decreasing traffic congestion, and mitigating the effects of air pollution and climate change.

Service

OCT’s expert team, including architectural, structural, geotechnical, civil and E&M disciplines, was assigned to participate in OC GLOBAL team for providing the design services for the Project as the following; 

  1. Railway bridge over Macarthur Highway – The bridge was designed as extradosed bridge with span length of 80+140+80 m, total 300 m. Foundations were on 1.80m dia. bored piles to approximately 30 m. depth.
  2. Railway Stations – OCT provided basic design for architecture, structure and building services, of 6 typical railway stations (elevated and at grade) along the North South Commuter Railway – South Line
