Detailed Design Study of the Cebu-Mactan Bridge (4th Bridge) and Coastal Road Construction, the Republic of the Philippines

In order to improve the capacity of existing road networks in Cebu and people transportation as well as merchandises transportation which contributing to expanding the socio-economic development and decreasing traffic congestion in metropolitan area in Cebu, the Cebu-Mactan Bridge (4th Bridge) and Coastal Road Construction project is initiated by the Government of Philippines.

  • 3.3 kilometers Bridge linking Cebu Island and Mactan Island 
  • 4.9 kilometers Mandaue coastal road connecting to the bridge with 4.75 kilometers elevated viaduct 

Service

OCT performs the basic design and the detailed design as follows;

  • the 4th Cebu-Mactan Bridge in Mandaue side 
  • the Mandaue coastal road 
  • Mandaue clover interchange ramp

The works include structural analysis and design of both superstructure and substructure of bridges, pier protection from vehicle and ship, bridge accessories and maintenance facilities as required. In addition, OCT assists to prepare design conditions and technical specifications, and quantity take-off for cost estimation.
